Rating Agency Compliance Officer

Well known rating services company seeks a Compliance Officer.
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for testing, reviewing, examining and monitoring business divisions and activities to ensure Compliance with all regulatory and firm policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
He/she will conduct risk assessments and reviews of the various operational units.
Prepare reports containing findings and recommendations gathered from the reviews.
Ensure that the business implements any noted recommendations in a timely manner.
Create reports that will be submitted to senior management and executives advising of your findings.
Qualifications:
• Strong compliance background within financial services or with a regulator required.
• Excellent oral, written communications and investigative skills required.
• Ability to travel at least one week per year.
• Independent thought process with the ability to mix firmness with diplomacy.
• Knowledge of audit methodology helpful.
• Knowledge of operational risk management (ORM) methodology helpful.
• Candidate should have an interest in global work and be able to work effectively with individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds.
