Contracts Paralegal
at Compliance Search Group in Greater New York Area
Assist attorneys in servicing retirement, distribution, variable insurance and separately managed account (SMA) business lines of prominent mutual fund management company
Work closely with attorneys in coordinating legal department efforts with respect to putting new contracts in place and amending existing contracts in these areas
Primary Contracts:
Distribution: selling dealer agreements, bank agency agreements, master platform agreements
Retirement: recordkeeping agreements, trading platform agreements
Variable Insurance: fund participation agreements
SMA: various forms of sub-advisory/participation agreements
Maintain database of forms of agreements and library of executed agreements
Light contract drafting under supervision of attorneys
Maintain grids used by legal and other departments to track status of current projects
Must be self starter
Basic understanding of contracts preferable, but not required
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to interface with other departments
Looking for 3+ years of experience
Compensation: Open (commensurate with experience)
