full time Management Consulting Firm – Deputy Chief Compliance Officer

Leading risk consulting company currently seeks an individual who will develop and direct compliance initiatives and provide leadership and oversight to ensure expansion and implementation of strategies, policies and programs within their area. The Compliance Officer will account for building, communicating and maintaining global compliance manuals, policies and related training and compliance review programs. These individuals will raise awareness of the compliance and professional standards, current and prospectively, to be followed in the conduct of worldwide business activities, including compliance relationships with colleagues worldwide.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for area compliance monitoring and assessing compliance with policies and procedures while making recommendations to develop, implement and modify these policies as appropriate.
Oversee the development and implementation of correction plans as well as monitor results for success.

- Deliver consistent compliance related training and communications to clarify and reinforce compliance requirements to the organization. Contribute to and identify compliance training and communication initiatives and requirements. Generate and present comprehensive reports to management, the CCO, Area and General Counsel. Distribute and review compliance related data with management on a regular basis and ensure appropriate corrective action has been taken.

- Interface with senior business leaders to ensure that appropriate supervisory processes and controls are established and documented. Provide guidance to senior managers on compliance and professional standards related matters and their impact on organizational objectives.

- Effectively communicate the Standard Operating Procedures to colleagues through effective training, publications and communications. Review and clarify processes for improved effectiveness, efficiency, and ease of doing business.

- Work closely with other support functions such as Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Internal Audit, and with intra-company departments to resolve issues as they arise. Collaborate with Information Technology staff to develop new reports and system tools.

- Interact with parent company and affiliated compliance officers. Work closely with geographic area VP and COO to coordinate effective implementation of compliance and risk management portfolio with local business operations.
- Create and perform risk assessments, to effectively plan and execute compliance and professional standards compliance reviews worldwide. Implement innovative solutions by comparing various options and exercising independent judgment to address complex compliance issues. Exhibit strong understanding of the company’s business, strategies and procedures.


Educational/Experience Requirements:
Candidates with a college degree and 5-7 years in a legal, compliance, consulting, or professional service positions are preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain a passport from country of residence as this position may require global travel.

Required Competencies:
The Compliance Officer must be able to communicate and work with clients and staff at all levels of the company. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must, particularly the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and an aptitude for careful listening and response to questions.

Individuals acting as Compliance Officer are expected to intelligently question and probes sources for answers; build cross-organizational relationships; quickly pick up new technical skills and systems; and meet and exceed goals on a regular basis.
